The Freedom Fest Committee invites local organizatons, nonprofits, churches, schools and businesses to apply for their events to be recognized as an Official Freedom Fest Event. Approved events will be promoted under the Freedom Fest banner, featured in marke6ng and supported with committee coordinaton to ensure a unified celebraton of America’s 250th Birthday.
The Battle of the Beards & Mullets Contest 2026
ExpressionS Salon & Day Spa is partnering with Kosciusko Freedom Fest to host the Battle of the Beards & Mullets Contest 2026 during the summer of 2026 in Warsaw, Indiana. The Freedom Fest itself is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 5, 2026.
How to Enter
Must be 16 years old or older
Attach your name and contact phone number
Clarify which category you are entering (beard, mullet or both)
Take 3 photos (Side Profile, Front and Back)
Email the Photos to kcmulletsandbeards@gmail.com
Judging of final contestants will be held in person at the Freedom Fest Event!
Stars, Stripes, & Steps Walking cChallenge
Join the Stars, Stripes, & Steps Walking Challenge and get active as a community while celebrating 250 years of America one step at a time!
Each mile equals roughly 2,000 steps, so lace up your shoes, grab a friend, and start moving with us. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 steppers!
Join the challenge by downloading the free STEP UP app from the iphone or Android store, create an acount using your email or facebook. The "Go To" Place in Northern Indiana to celebrate America 250! Parades, Vendors, Fireworks, Concerts, Reinactments, One of the Nations Largest Flying Flags will be on display. Echoes of the past Antique Tractor club will host a tractor show and demonstrations.

Kosciusko Co. HISTORICAL SOCIETY PRESENTS Historical Opportunities: A chance to step back in time to explore challenges, resilience and daily lives of people from rural Indiana from the 1700s to 1860's. Living history demonstrations and historical reenactments will feature the Miami Nation of Indians from Indiana and Stone's Trace, portraying early settlers. You will also see Thomas Jefferson who will discuss the importance of the Declaration of Independence and Abigail Adams who will share insights into 1776 life and her call to "remember the ladies"
Freedom Fest 5K
Join us this June for the Freedom Fest 5K as we celebrate community, resilience, and new beginnings. You can register by scanning the OR code on the event flyer. Hosted by LITE Recovery, all proceeds support the LITE Recovery Transitional Housing Program, helping individuals in recovery secure safe, stable housing and build a stronger future.

Free Family Event includes firework display set up viewing- from a regulated distance, STEM-Based Kid's activities inside a firework exhibits, community booths, Wawasee 250 commissioning ceremony with the Zambelli Fireworks Crew Building excitement for the fireworks show.
